Wearable Artist
These crazy chickens stuffed with championship pride, crowing victories big and small, flaunting laurels, confidence, humor, and unapologetic wearable bravado brought home my 4th FIRST place at Highball Halloween. This collection celebrated some local sports pride with a Columbus Blue Jackets chicken (Columbus Bird Jacket), a Columbus Crew chicken (Columbus Coop), & a larger than life rooster. From derpy eyes and a laurel-adorned beak to flipper-feet planted firmly in absurdity, this piece celebrates that effort often looks awkward, silly, or downright clucky. Materials included: 1,500 ribbons, 202 medals, 200 Pom-poms, athletic ephemera representing about 50 different sports, & pieces scavenged from 40 trophies.
